Creature Connection

Every person has a connection with a particular creature. I often have customers purchase a print and tell me the meaning that animal holds to them. Like a cardinal reminding them of their grandmother, herons about their grandfather, or just an animal they hold dear. Some animals and insects have a childhood memory connected. Butterflies bring up memories of childhood summers chasing them through grass. Even as an adult being surrounded by butterflies brings a feeling of joy and magic. There are some creatures that have a big following and butterflies are one of them. At each art festival I meet several butterfly fanatics. These green beauties were made to compliment the blue butterflies I painted earlier. An amazing butterfly lover who has traveled the world purchased both of these and it makes my heart flutter.
