New year new goals! 2015 was a great year for me in many ways. My art career got better and better with more pet portrait commission work, working with an interior designer, having many art festivals, being in Here a Pop Up Shop, having some of my pieces at West Annapolis Artworks, and teaching art classes. I had a healthy year with no big financial problems. In the end 2015 I like you.

There is so much more I want to do and a few things I want to work on. I'm focusing on not being such a procrastinator. It's difficult for me to do projects if I don't have many uninterrupted hours. Unfortunately that is just not possible, maybe because I have an almost 5 year old or probably just because of life in general. It's a goal to make use of the small increments of time I have to get work done earlier and get house projects knocked out. Another goal is to get out and have more adventures. Usually this is no problem for me! With my work load expanding adventures have taken a backburner. This year we didn't go out as a family much, not much hiking, not much exploring, no super fun holiday events. It's easy for me to get hermity. The more I stay inside the harder it gets for me to get up and out.

My business goals are geared toward success. I'm building up my art business with new products, more places where my art is sold, bigger art festivals, lots of hard work, and creating new habits.

Yesterday my husband shared this infographic with me. It's exactly what I have been feeling. I see others having such success and it seems to come so easy. What I don't see if what everyone has done or is doing to create that success. I'm doing all those things but my iceberg is tiny. Setting goals for each month and year helps me see that I am growing, I am encountering success, and I am heading in the right direction.

What are your goals for 2016 and can you relate to the Success Illusion?
